About me
I am Salome, a Mama of three and Pregnancy & Postpartum Exercise Specialist.
I was born and raised in Switzerland in a very active and outdoor focused context. Since I also had my children there, I was privileged to experience an environment where participating in postpartum exercise was the standard for women.
After graduating in Sports Sciences and getting a teacher degree for higher education I enjoyed working with young adults as a sports teacher for several years. Coaching has always been my passion!
During my first pregnancy I realized quickly how little research based information there was on exercise for athletes during pregnancy.
Throughout the next few years and two more babies I learnt so much about my own body and the effects and complexities of exercise during the different stages of motherhood. At the same time, I had so many unanswered questions on the way.

Studying to become a Prenatal and Postpartum Fitness Specialist finally answered so many of my questions and got me extremely excited to share this knowledge with women on the unique journey of motherhood. Every mother deserves to be strong, healthy and feel good about herself! Safely applied fitness has an incredible impact on the wellbeing of a mother as well as the child.

How fast and how long can I still run at 7 months pregnant? Can I still do planks? Does strengthening the pelvic floor muscles make sense before labor? How soon after delivery can I run again? How to ease that back pain? When is it safe to do crunches again? Are weights ok?...
I truly believe we are beautifully and wholesomely made. The knitting together of coaching, physiology, psychology, nutrition, research and experience gets me so excited!
My qualifications include

Masters in Sport Sciences (University of Basel, Switzerland), Masters in Higher Education (FHNW, Switzerland), Certified Prenatal and Postpartum Specialist through Moms into Fitness
